Centovino began with the simple idea to import some great Italian wines to Australia.

What Co-founders Alessio and Jesse didn't fully understand at the time was these great wines are attached to great people and amazing vineyards. What may have started as a simple idea has now blossomed into some amazing new friendships and overseas experiences. Their belief is each bottle they import is a new experience for themselves, the wine maker and anyone interested in drinking fine Italian wines. We hope when you enjoy each sip, you can feel the sense of place and energy. Salut!!

Jesse Davidson

As a teenager Jesse knew he wanted to own a restaurant. Starting work as early as he could he took jobs in restaurants on the Mornington Peninsula learning the craft and developing a love of the Italian way of life. At 19 years old he began managing Centonove restaurant in Kew and at the age of 35 has owned the restaurant for 16 years.

It was here at Centonove and on one of his numerous holidays to Italy that Jesse began his love of Italian people, wine and culture. If you press him he will tell you that Piedmont is his favourite place in Italy and loves the opportunity to tell you all the great places to eat and sleep in the region.

Alessio Pecoraro.

Alessio moved to Australia 7 years ago from the small and beautiful island of Capri. He began work at Centonove Restaurant and in those 7 years became restaurant manager and now calls Australia home. As a boy he would work with his uncle at one of Capri's most famous restaurants running plates, fetching drinks and developing his love of Italian food and wine. Alessio has amazing knowledge of Italian wine and is keen to share his passion with Australians just discovering the riches of his homeland. Alessio's other passions involve sport (his home soccer team Napoli especially) & the Richmond Tigers (Sold a lie early in his settlement by Jesse).

He is currently single, a Libra and a terrific cook. (Just for the record)
